When you are finished cooking, you should regularly wipe down the Viking range grates and burner caps with a wet sponge and dry completely. Regular cleaning can be performed with warm, foamy water, or soft scrub cleanser with a Scotch-Brite pad. When persistent spots still remain, use a cleanser intended for gas range. But how to clean Viking range?
First, remove the grates and burner caps from the range, then place them in the newspaper outside the kitchen. Spray the unit with a cleanser and let it settle on concerning spots for around 2 hours. Wipe with warm and foamy water. Once you clean the cleaning grates and burner caps, see to it that you completely dry them, specifically under the unit. When the bottom part does not completely dry prior to installing them back on the cooking surface, they may corrode. You may also place the grates and burner caps on the burner and set the burner on high temperature for around a few seconds for additional drying. Once rust is visible, a range cleanser and a blue Scotch-Brite pad will eliminate it. In order to prepare the grates and burner caps, use a light amount of mineral oil or vegetable oil. Let the oil to drench around 15 minutes before you put the grates or burner caps back in their place.
The bottom part should be cleaned regularly with warm soapy water after every cooling period. Never use steel wool, powder, rough cloths, and cleanser. In order to eliminate coated debris or scraps, soak the area with a warm towel to separate the hardened materials, then use a wooden nylon spatula. Never use a metal spatula, knife, or any other tool to scratch the aluminum surface.
When you are done cooking, wipe the burner bowls and the covered burner top with warm, foamy water and a soft cloth. When spots still remain, use a cleanser without bleach using a blue Scotch-Brite pad. Be careful with using the pad as it can scrape on the porcelain material when scraped too much.
Remove the accumulated dirt from the surface and wipe with warm, foamy, water, and a soft cloth. Gently scrub and do not soak. Never apply abrasive cleaners or ammonia-based cleaners that could possibly eliminate the graphics. Completely dry before changing it. Only use warm, foamy water and a soft cloth. Also do not use abrasive cleaners or ammonia-based cleaners on the control panel as it may remove the graphics.
